Sizing Guide
Find Your Perfect Ring Size
A well-fitted ring should feel effortless — secure enough to stay, relaxed enough to forget it's there. Here's how to measure with confidence, from home or with our team.
Ring size isn't just a number — it's the difference between a ring you reach for every day and one that lives in its box. Fingers vary by hand, time of day and season, so a few careful minutes now saves a resizing trip later.
Three Ways to Measure
Choose whichever feels easiest — all three take less than five minutes.
Use a Ring You Already Own
Find a ring that fits the intended finger well, then measure its inside diameter.
- Lay the ring on a flat surface, opening facing up.
- Measure inside edge to inside edge, in millimeters.
- Match the number to the "Diameter" column in the chart below.
Best if the ring is already worn on the same finger.
String or Paper Strip
No ring on hand? Wrap a strip of paper or thread around the base of the finger instead.
- Wrap a strip snugly around the base of the finger.
- Mark where the ends meet, then measure the length.
- Match the number to the "Circumference" column below.
Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are largest.

A Few Things That Affect Fit
- Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are naturally at their largest.
- Warm hands measure larger than cold ones — avoid measuring right after being outdoors in winter.
- Your dominant hand is typically slightly larger than the other.
- Wider bands fit more snugly — for styles over 6mm wide, consider sizing up half a size.
- Knuckles matter too — if yours is noticeably larger than the base of the finger, size for comfortable movement over it.

Ring Sizing Questions
What if I'm sizing a ring as a surprise?
Borrow a ring your partner already wears on the correct finger — even one from a different hand works as a rough guide — and use the "existing ring" method above. A close friend or family member can often help without giving anything away.
Can a ring be resized after I order?
Most of our styles can be resized after purchase — reach out to our team and we'll walk you through it. Some styles, like eternity bands, have limited resizing options because of how the stones are set; check the product page for details.
Do men's and women's rings use different sizing?
The sizing scale itself is identical — the two charts above simply reflect the ranges we most commonly stock for each, so you can find your size faster.
My measurement falls between two rows. What should I do?
Round up to the next half size. A ring that's slightly loose can be adjusted; one that's too tight often can't be.
How accurate is measuring at home?
Very close, when done carefully. Before ordering fine jewelry, our free printable sizer or a quick note to our styling team is worth the extra minute.
