Frequently Asked Questions
Most of our lab-grown diamond pendant in our collection includes a premium, color-matched chain (14k/18k Gold). We clearly mentioned in product details if our pendants come with a chain. We pair our pendants with specifically gauged cable or box chains designed to support the "tension point" where the bail meets the link. This ensures the chain is delicate enough to remain feminine but strong enough to resist snapping if accidentally tugged.
A common issue with poorly designed jewelry is a pendant that won't stay face-forward. Our designers make each piece with a low center of gravity. By positioning the bail (the loop the chain passes through) slightly above the diamond’s midpoint and tapering the back of the setting, we ensure the diamond sits flat against your skin and maintains its brilliance without twisting.
Versatility is essential for a signature piece. Most of our necklaces feature a multi-station jump ring system, typically allowing you to wear the piece at 16, 17, or 18 inches. This allows you to position the pendant perfectly, whether you are wearing a high-neck blouse or a deep V-neck evening gown.
A "Bail" setting uses a visible metal loop to connect the diamond to the chain, offering a traditional, classic aesthetic. A "Floating" (or slide) setting allows the chain to pass directly through the pendant's structure. Floating styles are popular for a modern, minimalist look where the diamond appears to hover effortlessly on the skin without visible hardware.
Because a pendant is viewed from a distance rather than up close like a ring, we prioritize "Spread" and "Cut Grade." A lab-grown diamond with an "Excellent" cut will appear larger than its actual carat weight because it maximizes light return. For a pendant, we recommend focusing on the millimeter (mm) measurements to ensure the stone has the visual presence you desire on your neckline.
While the diamond itself is indestructible, lotions and sunscreens can quickly "film over" the back of the stone, which is often open to allow light in. This film acts like a filter, killing the diamond's fire. We recommend putting your pendant on last—after your perfume and lotions have fully dried—to keep the pavilion (bottom) of the stone clear and sparkling.
Our pendants are designed with a standard bail opening that fits most chains up to 1.5 mm in diameter. However, some of our "Station" or "Integrated" designs are permanently fixed to the chain to ensure the diamond stays centered. If you wish to use your own heirloom chain, please check the "Product Details" section to see if the pendant is detachable.
A pendant is the most "size-forgiving" piece of fine jewelry. Unlike rings (which require a specific size) or bracelets (which vary by wrist width), a necklace fits everyone. Choosing lab-grown allows you to gift a significantly higher color and clarity grade—meaning the diamond will "pop" against the skin even in low-light environments—at a price point unattainable with mined stones.
