Frequently Asked Questions
Carat weight is almost always listed as Total Carat Weight (TCW). This means if you purchase a 1.00 ct pair of studs, the total weight of both diamonds combined is 1.00 ct, meaning each ear features a 0.50 ct stone. We list it this way to give you an accurate idea of the total value and sparkle you are acquiring.
Matching earrings is an art form. Unlike rings, which feature a single solitaire, earrings require two stones that are virtually identical in cut, color, and diameter to look symmetrical. Our gemologists hand-select "mate" stones for every pair of lab-grown earrings, ensuring that the table size and sparkle pattern mirror each other, so one earring never outshines the other.
Security is paramount with diamond jewelry. We typically offer two types:
Push Backs (Butterfly): Best for comfort and ease of use. We use heavy-weight friction backs that grip the post tightly.
Screw Backs: Best for maximum security. These thread onto the post like a nut on a bolt.
Recommendation: For studs over 1.00 ct TCW, we highly recommend Screw Backs or Locking Backs to ensure your investment stays safely on your ear during daily movement.
Diamond is non-porous and resists chemicals, but the buildup of hairspray, conditioner, and perfume can create a film on the surface that temporarily dulls the sparkle. Because lab-grown diamonds have high optical brilliance, they are easy to restore. A simple weekly soak in warm water with mild degreasing dish soap will strip away product buildup and return them to showroom condition immediately.
Absolutely. Since earrings pass through the skin, metal purity is critical. We craft our settings exclusively in solid 14k Gold, or 18k Gold. These metals are free from nickel and common irritants found in plated or costume jewelry, making them hypoallergenic and safe for fresh piercings or sensitive lobes to wear 24/7.
Yes, but it depends on the size. Typically, solitary studs of 0.50 ct each (1.00 ct TCW) and larger are accompanied by individual IGI or GIA grading reports for each stone. For smaller carat weights (fashion studs or halos), we use "batch certified" lab-grown diamonds that meet strict minimum quality standards (e.g., VS Clarity, E-F Color) to keep the price accessible without sacrificing brilliance.
If your goal is maximum sparkle, the Martini setting (shaped like a cocktail glass with 3 prongs) is the superior choice. It uses less metal and sits flush against the earlobe, allowing more light to enter the diamond from the sides. The Basket setting (flat bottom, 4 prongs) sits slightly further off the ear; while it captures slightly less light, it provides a larger look and extra protection for the stone.
